The Knysna Tourism Living Local Craft Market will take place outside the Tourism Office in Knysna’s Main Road from 6 December to 6 January.
“Our office welcomes many visitors during this period – both local and international,” said Knysna Tourism CEO Shaun van Eck. “In fact we are very often guests’ first stop after booking in at their accommodation establishment. Presenting them with a vibrant, colourful market sets the tone for the rest of their visit to our beautiful town.”
Knysna Tourism Development Manager Glendyrr Fick said that the market will feature between 10 and 12 local crafters. “Naturally this market holds financial benefits for our crafters, as their wares will be on display for anyone who visits the tourism office to admire and hopefully purchase.”
Van Eck encouraged local residents to support the market. “This is a fantastic opportunity for Christmas shopping with a local flair. Be it for a friend or family member you will be visiting out of town, somebody visiting you, or your friend who lives around the corner, everyone would appreciate an uniquely Knysna Christmas gift. And you will be supporting your local economy which really is a Christmas present to yourself.”
The Knysna Tourism Living Local Craft Market will be open on weekdays between 8am and 6pm, weekends between 9am and 2pm, and it will be closed on Christmas- and New Year’s Day. Be sure to visit the market outside the Tourism Office at 40 Main Road, Knysna, or contact Fick at 044 382 5510 for more information. |
